Join us in Welcoming Sophia Wickersham to Mountain T.O.P.’s Full Time staff!
My name is Sophia Wickersham and I have been hired as the Development Manager for Mountain T.O.P. I am from Winchester, Indiana where I grew up with my three older siblings and my two wonderful parents. I just graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership with minors in Public Finance and Marketing. Throughout college I was involved in many different organizations, however most of my time was spent training and competing alongside so many dedicated and hardworking women on the Varsity Women’s Rowing Team.
I am so excited to be back on the Mountain! My journey with Mountain T.O.P. started 10 summers ago. I first came to the Mountain as a thirteen-year-old eager to serve. I had no idea that ten years later my faith would be transformed and I would be sitting in an office chair on support staff. (I mean seriously this seems crazy! Truthfully it is God.) The past three summers I have had the opportunity to be on Summer Staff as a Ministry Coordinator and Program Manager at Camp Baker Mountain, and a Director last summer at Camp Cumberland Pines. Through the summer staff experience I was able to grow spiritually, professionally, and personally through the training I received and the experience I encountered. I have had a lot of great experiences at Mountain T.O.P. whether that was working with families in the community, leading a group Zumba session with some day camp kiddos, or watching my staff completely transform throughout a summer. Mountain TOP is one of my favorite places and I can’t put into words how much this ministry means to me. God has been so present here on this mountain and through him and this ministry my faith has grown immensely. I am so excited for this opportunity.
